Looks like the town of Mt. Pleasant, local developers and state planners are getting closer to redevelopment plans for the waterfront land next to Patriots Point Maritime Museum.
The 35 acre tract is slated to be called “Patriots Village”
The village will be home to waterfront restaurants, a hotel, shops and condos. This is ultra-prime waterfront land, and as the economy in Charleston slowly recovers, this project should come out of the ground nicely.
If you know anything about Mt. Pleasant you have be pleased with what the town is doing with our beautiful waterfront areas. The Shem Creek Park is another project that they actually are breaking ground on as I write this. Shem Creek Park will be a gorgeous public kayak park right up the street from Patriots Point.
It is a very exciting time to live in Mt. Pleasant.
