Today I thought I would share what a million dollars is buying in the Charleston, SC real estate market. These homes are ones I picked as I was working this AM and don’t necessarily represent the best buys for a million, but they are from a few of my recommended and favorite spots in Charleston. If you have an area you like and want some of my top picks for that area, just email or call me and I will be happy to send you a list.

Since we are talking about Charleston I figured I would start in the Historic District. 91 Tradd St is about 1,800 sqft and located in the always popular South of Broad neighborhood. The home was built in 1850 and for the most part has been totally remodeled and updated. Exterior features include: a wrought iron gate created by renowned, Charleston iron smith, Philip Simmons The owners are asking $1,050,000. You can see a few pics of it below and a video of South of Broad.

Moving just over the bridge into Mt. Pleasant is 337 Cooper River Drive, in the Tides Condominiums. These are new units that overlook the bridge and Charleston Harbor. The unit is 2 beds, 2 baths, a little over 2,000 sqft, has great views and a pro-style kitchen. They are asking $1,054,000. I pulled a few pics of it, you can see below.Up the road from The Tides is a really cool neighborhood called I’on. It is a little village with some neo-classical style homes. The residence sits on one of my favorite names for a street, 54 Saturday Rd. The home is over 4,000 sqft, 5 beds and 5 baths, has a pool and backups to a small part of creek and marsh. Real close to the I’on Creek Club. They are offering this home at $1,095,000. I gathered some pictures of it below, as well as a video I did on I’on last year.

Moving from Mt. Pleasant lets hop over to Isle of Palms (which is my pick for best place to buy a home for investment). 3307 Palm Blvd is a beach house, second row, that was built in 1947, has 6 beds and 2 baths, 2,787 sqft. The home has a pool, small cabana and quick access to the ocean. The owners of this home are asking $1,099,000. A few pictures below and a video that talks about Isle of Palms. I have a lot of suggestions on homes to buy out here, if you want them, please email or call me.

Finally we bounce from a beach island on Isle of Palms to an island by rivers — Daniel Island. Upscale and well-manicured are a few words to describe Daniel Island Park, the country club side of things on Daniel Island. The home we are focusing on today is at 139 King George St. The house is 5 beds, 4 baths and about 4,500 sqft. Well appointed, nice rear yard and on one of the prettier streets in The Park, King George. They are presently asking $1,192,000. A few pics are below and a video of Daniel Island Park too.
